About Dr. Jessica Thompson

Hi, I’m Dr. Jessica Thompson (formerly Dr. Jessica Harter). I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults through life’s most challenging moments—whether that’s navigating a recent loss or change, coping with anxiety or depression, working through trauma, facing substance use struggles, or managing thoughts of suicide.

I know that reaching out for help isn’t easy, but I believe therapy can be a place where healing and growth truly begin. In our work together, I’ll meet you where you are—with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. My goal is to help you build on your natural strengths while introducing new skills and perspectives that can create real, lasting change.

Over the years, I’ve worked in many different settings—inpatient psychiatric care, hospital evaluations, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, and addiction recovery treatment. These experiences taught me that every person’s journey looks different, and there’s no “one right way” to heal.

Since 2020, I’ve focused my private practice on offering individual, family, and couples therapy, both in person and through Telehealth. This allows me to provide consistent, meaningful support to the people I work with—support that isn’t rushed, but instead steady, caring, and grounded in connection.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
